Abstract :
This paper explores the ways to obtain causal stable filter bank parameterizations under a generalized Bezout identity framework for perfect reconstruction (PR) biorthogonal filter banks. The main aim is to develop a method for design of perfect reconstruction IIR filter banks that are stable and causal. In addition, the method is general enough to cover all combinations of filter types (IIR or FIR) and the number of prescribed filters for any uniform filter bank.
