  • Abstract
Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiplex (SC-FDMA) is the modulation technique being considered in Long Term Evolution (LTE) proposal announced recently. The reason for this stems from the fact that SC-FDMA envelope fluctuation is considerable lower than that of conventional Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) technique, thereby results in less sensitivity to the nonlinear distortion introduced by the High Power Amplifiers (HPA). However, in order to achieve high spectrum and power efficiency of the transmission, it is convinient to look for additional strategies to further improve the SC-FDMA robustness against the nonlinear amplification. Therefore, in this paper we introduce the technique based on the iterative detection of nonlinearly distorted SC-FDMA symbols that aims to tackle the nonlinear distortion in an iterative fashion. The performance analysis show the considerable performance improvements of presented technique performing over frequency selective channels.
