Abstract :
An adaptive multiple-chip parallel CDMA interconnect (AMP-CDMA), that can enable parallelism and concurrency in communication by moderately increasing a complexity of the system, is proposed in this paper. The proposed technique enables to send simultaneously more than one bit data at each clock interval. The length of codewords is adjusted depending on how many modules exist in a system. Absolute quantitative performance metrics that correspond to the number of equivalent logic gates and communication latency were used to analyze the quality of four different design solutions of the proposed FPGA based communication architectures.
