Abstract :
“Politehnica” University of Timisoara coordinates research partnership project with the title "Energetically servicing of a local community using air currents", an electrical wind unit of small power designated for the rural households in Romania. The power set is calculated for emplacements with moderate wind speeds (middle speed 3-6 m/s) with possibilities of adaptation at different wind regimes. In the paper are presented some problems of wind turbine which will equip this power set. All used profiles were NACA type with 4 digits, and its geometry was determined from loading conditions of the blade with radius and wind speed of upstream of the rotor. It was necessary to adapt the technology of polyester reinforced with glass fiber to a product with a complicated structure. The electric generator is three-phases synchronous with permanent magnets functioning at variable rotation. For the mast several variants was studied in order to avoid excessive vibrations and deformations.
