Abstract :
Power combining networks are a key component for most radar systems. In combination with micromechanical switches the network can be used for multi-beam lens systems, filter bank etc. The main disadvantage of such a switchable power combining network are high losses. In a Doppler beam sharpening system (DBS) for 35 GHz a power combining network with Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems (MEMS) switches was realized.
