Abstract
The Fourier spectrometer using the radiation of optical frequency comb is described. The scanning and detection over interval longer than distance between two consecutive pulses of the frequency comb allow spectral resolution of individual frequency components of the comb. Using the precise knowledge of frequency of the comb component (teeth) leads to precise estimation of the frequency and wavelength of spectral features to be measured. Using frequency comb radiation allows measurement with highly unbalanced lengths of interferometer arms, leading to enhanced detection of phase relation of detected spectral shapes (transmitted comb components) and improved sensitivity.
