Abstract :
The biggest proportion of renewable energy investments in Europe is focused on exploitation of wind power. Due to high investors´ interest, Croatian power system is experiencing a metamorphosis to a modern power system with significant wind power penetration. This paper describes optimal connection points for the large amount of wind power plants expected to be installed. The calculus is performed in various scenarios in order to verify the obtained results. Based on acquired results, actions on improving transmission grid for wind power plants operation are described.
