Abstract :
The article presents an automated verification method of the Continental indirect tire pressure monitoring system in a Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) environment. For the test procedure a precise real-time system is necessary, which allows the evaluation of the outputs as the respond of the generated inputs by the test-engineer, and ensures the continuous observation. The prescribed test cases are separated into logically built groups, and these together produced a so called general test package. This method gives a possibility to indicate software deviations before it will be implemented in a vehicle. Deflation Detection System (DDS) [1], [2] and the applied HIL test environment have been developed, respectively used by Continental — they are not part of the results of this work. The article depicts the results of how the latter one could be applied to analyze DDS behavior.
