Abstract :
We considered the possibility of sidelobe suppression, i.e., self clutter suppression in modern radar and sonar systems with intrapulse frequency hopping. We adapted the Doppler optimized iterative reweighted least square (IRLS) algorithm in order to shape the ambiguity function of frequency hopping sequence based upon Costas arrays. We achieved interesting results.
