  • Abstract
This paper presents the results of the interference noise analysis in terrestrial FDM/FM radio systems due to new mobile personal communication systems (PCS) sharing the same frequency band and using the direct sequence spread spectrum code division multiple access techniques, (SS-CDMA). The effect of the SS-CDMA system on the FDM/FM radio systems is expressed through the interference noise power at the FDM/FM system output. The results obtained show that it is possible in the 1.9 GHz band to operate a SS-CDMA system with average number of users of 205 in the micro zone R=200 m radius and with the allowed typical interference noise level at the FDM-FM system output of -105 dBmp.
