Abstract :
The subject of this study is accurate estimation of object edges in medical images which is gathered from different modalities. To obtain edges, a parametric edge model was utilized. The parametric model is not a linear model therefore, in order to determine the parameters of the model a nonlinear estimation algorithm, Marquardt-Levenberg algorithm, was used. Performance of the proposed method is tested on real medical images.
