Abstract
Depleting of petroleum, the main energy source for the vehicles with conventional internal combustion engines (ICE), and the growing negative effects of vehicles on environment have directed several vehicle manufacturers towards studies on electric vehicles. Besides, the low efficiency of ICEs especially at lower rpms has made electric vehicles more attractive. Present researches concerning electric vehicles concentrate in several topics however, the researches effort on yield and range more than other topics. Recovering regenerative braking energy, energy management strategy with load sharing and comparison of different hybrid topologies are the topics have become prominent in EV applications. In the consideration of above matter, this study deals with experimental studies in different hybrid topologies for electric vehicle. During experimental studies a test bench is utilized for testing different hybrid topologies. The results and analysis of experimental studies are given.
