  • Abstract
In this paper, the influence of different types winding connections of transformers on short duration voltage dip caused by faults therefore voltage dip propagation is evaluated. First of all affection is analyzed on a test system by SIMPOW DIPS software and voltage-time wave shapes results are given. Afterwards simulation results are confirmed by power quality monitor, which are implemented of Turkish Transmission and Distribution System as a part of National Power Quality Project, measurements. The project is a three-year project of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, TÜBİTAK and based on to measure PQ parameters. The aim of the paper is to lead system operator and managements, end users on propagation of voltage dip according to transformer winding connection and emphasize necessity of nationwide voltage dip evaluation in order to choose convenient mitigation method.
