Abstract :
More than 80% of all system faults occur on the power systems are single phase to ground type faults and large majority of these faults are of a transient nature. For ensuring reliability of electricity transmission system, Single Pole Autoreclosers play an important role. However, conventional Single Pole Autoreclosers has no intelligent decision making tool for identification of fault type. In this study, effectiveness of the Adaline based fault type identification method is evaluated via simulation.
