Abstract :
On having faced disasters or catastrophes, there performs supreme importance the preparation that the affected population could have, as well as the training of the personnel that must help to confront them. To achieve this training one can make use of Decision Support Systems (DSS), which in turn are supported in mathematical models, as can be the multi-criteria model. A very simple technical multi-criteria to implement and to apply is the Multi attribute Model (MM) with multiplicative factors, which can be used in the handling of catastrophes, in particular in the pre-catastrophe phase. Of the above-mentioned the objective of this work arises which will be to show through a hypothetical example how the Multi attribute Model (MM) with multiplicative factors, can be of help in the moment of training the personnel in charge of facing the catastrophes, in particular in the phase pre-catastrophe, to choose possible shelters.
