  • Abstract
    After being passed many times from hand to hand over decades, various ideas tend to deviate from the scientific truth. Phase and group delay, and the corresponding velocities, are notorious examples. Twisting their meaning has led to some controversies. Hence, revisiting their definitions and better founding in undergraduate courses seem to be necessary.
