  • Abstract
We describe our project the goal of which is development of a method for measurement of temperature in a cellular microvolume and its hardware implementation. The main prerequisite of the designed method is the noninterference with functions of the measured living tissue, The microsensor may contribute to an experimental study of thermodynamically open systems in biology. The proposed method is based on measurement of the electrical resistance of a thermosensitive semiconducting glass which is in the tip of a glass micropipette similar to current microelectrodes. The project also includes development of measuring instrumentation and auxiliary equipment. The current status of the project are tests of the microsensor designed.
