Abstract :
An original method of quantitative electroencephalography (EEG) is presented. In addition to standard frequency analysis, the authors analyze Band Power Envelope (BPE) of basic EEG frequency bands (delta, theta, alpha and beta). Proposed method introduces new parameters: periodicity and stability of frequency in EEG band. The method is applied in analysis of brain wave activities during altered state of consciousness related to healing process, in comparison with normal state. The authors have found the most prominent changes at lower frequencies (delta and theta bands).
