Abstract :
The paper introduces a new protection system for railway electric equipment (transformers, feeders and contact line) based on fuzzy logic. The fuzzy logic relay analyses the operating regime for the equipment and eliminates the abnormal work situations which generate failures. The system it has been hardware implemented using a digital signal processor TMS320F2812 and tested in working situations.
