Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a method to reconstruct a simple curve without self-intersections from a set of unorganized points. Firstly, we utilized moving least squares method to reduce the point cloud to a thin curve. Besides, selection of local region is made with an automatic method based on eigenvalue analysis. Thus some problems are eliminated such as varying thickness of point clouds.
