Abstract :
The directed infrared countermeasures (DIRCM) systems are used to defeat infrared (IR) guided missiles (GM). The DIRCM systems used can be effective on IR GM´s in different ways according to the properties of the applied signal. In this paper, the effects of DIRCM systems on the conical scan reticle systems, which are known as second generation G/M´s, is investigated via a simulation based approach. The corresponding effects are exposed by investigating the changes in the angular target position estimations made by the conical scan seeker when the parameters of the DIRCM signal changes.
