Abstract :
We demonstrate and investigate not only automodulations of the laser pulse trains but also their instabilities: period doubling and chaos. Those low frequency instabilities are the experimental evidence of nonlinear dynamics of an extended cavity Ti:Sapphire oscillator. To our knowledge these dynamical effects have not been reported or predicted before.
