In this paper, three calculation procedures of shielding effectiveness (SE) of an enclosure with aperture (Schelkunoff´s, White´s and Robinson´s model), which contribute very different results, are discussed and the calculation results are compared with the measurement one. The measurement platform is setup as described in IEC61000-5-7 the radiation immunity test. The dependences of frequency and the aperture length on SE of the enclosure with aperture are analyzed. The aperture length is varied for studying the passing through effects of the apertures. Finally, according to the investigation, the Robinson´s model is confirmed to be very effective for calculating the SE of the enclosure with aperture. Practically, the incident wave with wavelength of λ can not go through an aperture smaller than λ/10. This can increase the SE of the enclosure around 30-50 dB more.
