A new cost effective solution for control of electrical actuators

This paper presents a new cost effective solution for velocity and position control of a linear actuator, equipped with a brushless DC motor. Specifically, a practically validated solution is presented, which combines a speed estimator and a method of emulating an absolute position sensor, both using only digital Hall sensors signals.
