Abstract
In today´s market place of continuous technology advancements, increased globalization and everlasting competitive pressure, companies mostly rely on information systems and automation of business process improvements. Forehand and righteous decision making is essential in every business surroundings while telecom industry accelerates the need of urgency particularly for capital investment and development plan resolutions. At the same time, the complexity of the processes in telecom industry necessitate the concept of their improvement and one approach for achieving operational excellence is recognized in Six Sigma methodology. The goal of this work is to reveal operational improvement of fixed network planning process derived from Six Sigma knowledge, methods and tools. We will present a Model for quantification of benefits for given investment in access network and possible ways to identify the best locations for investment based on draw data-driven business conclusions.
