Abstract :
This paper presents the Fuzzy Cognitive Map (FCM) used in image post-processing decision support for the false alarm reduction in a forest fire monitoring systems. When the image processing and analysis are used to extract contextual information from images, like fire or smoke in our case, it is usually possible to identify the image meta-data and used them to enhance image-processing results. In this paper the focus is on false alarm reduction in post-processing process based on the additional information like meteorological data. FCM based postprocessing decision support can greatly improve the overall system performance and diminish the false alarms rate.
