Abstract :
The paper describes components of power supply block for wireless sensor nodes powered from harvested mechanical vibration energy which is converted into electric energy. The properties of vibration energy harvesters and assumed power requirements for wireless sensor nodes are given. General structure of power supply block is proposed. Various possible structures of AC/DC rectifiers and DC/DC converters are discussed. The results of computer simulations and experimental studies for the considered circuits are presented. Finally, the conclusions on the most effective power processing solutions are drawn and directions for future studies are highlighted.
