Abstract
Implementing personalisation in Web based environment depends not only on developing appropriate architectures, but also on incorporating human factors considerations at an early design stage. This paper forms the first part, introducing the concepts and issues surrounding the development of personalised learning environments, which incorporates learning styles. The second part presents methodology and results on our research aiming to determine influences of learning styles determined and preferences to graphical user interface. Learning styles for students participating in the study were determined by applying standard 80-items questionnaire by Honey and Mumford.
