  • Abstract
    We present a first attempt to unravel the logic of Visual Arts, centered on the painting Le Dejeuner Des Canotiers of the French impressionist painter A. Renoir. We apply the methods of Contextual Logic and Conceptual Graphs in order to study the logic of this painting with the aim to develop formal methods for a Logic of Visual Arts.
