Abstract :
This paper describes an algorithm of asymmetric (in terms of time) compression of the static image data based on singular decomposition of the image matrix. The method was developed as an additional method to more complex procedures in order to ease their implementability to the embedded personal portable units with low computing performance. The advantage of the described method is the transparency of the calculations and high-speed decompression.
