            Abstract : 
This paper shows how to achieve a dedicated application, implemented in an FPGA using VHDL programming language in Xilinx Integrated Software Environment - ISE. The application proposes the measurement of ambient temperature with the DS1626 digital sensor from the PmodTMP interface board, its display to the Spartan-3E Starter Board LCD and maintaining ambient temperature within limits set by the user.
