Abstract
The paper presents deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) bio-polymers in different solutions and aims to investigate their electrical conductivity. Organic insulators and semiconductors are very attractive for use in low cost electronic products that can be produced, for example, by printing techniques on large area and flexible substrates. Results show that DNA-CTMA and DNA-BZK can be good insulators and they can thus be used in the fabrication of capacitive structures. The copper electrodes on FR4 substrate are obtained through milling and the DNA solution is deposited by spin-coating. Electrical investigations are performed to gain more information on the resistivity.
