Abstract :
AlGaAs/GaAs room-temperature pulse-operating mid-infrared (λ~9.5μm) quantum-cascade lasers (QCLs) have been developed for application in gas detection systems. The 1046.4cm-1 spectral line selected from the multimode laser spectrum was used for the ammonia detection with resolution at ppb level.
