Abstract :
Directional sensors detect targets within a range and a predefined direction. In this paper, we assume that directional sensors are deployed in a sensor field, where at each node there are four collocated directional sensors providing a coverage of 360°. We extend results of some of our previous work on this subject and study the effects of different network parameters on the performance of the proposed methods. We also extend the methods so that they can track more than one target simultaneously moving in the sensor field.
