FAR vision — Data visualization system for firefighters

Next generation firefighting equipment was designed in order to increase security and to enable faster and more efficient execution of firefighting missions. New firefighting equipment is provided with temperature sensors, sensors for detecting chemical waste and toxic fumes and sensors for monitoring user´s health. All this data that can mean the difference between life and death is rarely available to the firefighter. This paper presents a system that projects all necessary information directly onto the visor of a firefighting helmet.
