Abstract
One of the most interesting research topics of the moment is related to scheduling algorithms for wireless systems. This paper proposes a collaborative operation of SNR rings and scheduling decisions in order to maximize system performance. A geometric SNR model at cell level is presented. Then, the paper demonstrates that in a dense populated area, with uniform distribution of the population inside the considered area, the probability for a user to be closer to cell edge than to cell center is higher.
