Abstract :
The aim of the paper is to investigate and develop a new portable Braille device prototype driven by paraffin wax actuators. The paper starts with a short review and introduction in the field. Chapter two presents the model and thermal simulation of a portable Braille device along with the discussion about the obtained results. The functional aspects regarding the proposed device are presented in part three. The fourth part presents the developed prototype, the command and control scheme and tests regarding its parameters (temperature, membrane deflection). Its performances are analyzed and its actuation principle is shown, along with a study of the main parameters. This paper presents solutions in modeling, simulation and development in portable Braille tactile devices.
