  • Abstract
The effects of the total saponins extracted from the leaves of Aralia mandshurica cultivated in Moldavia have been studied in experimental animals exposed to stress. The experiment was carried out on white rats with experimentally induced chronic inflammation or/and exposed to stress induced by exposure to continuous dark or light, for 14 days. The control groups were treated with saline solution, levamisole and indometacin, administered orally in unique daily dose. The studied dose of Aralia mandshurica saponine extract from leaves (SAL) was 1/20 of DL50. There were studied the following parameters: leukocyte count, phagocyte capacity of peripheral neutrophils (NBT test), serum complement activity. The experimental results demonstrated immunomodulatory effects of this saponine extract in animals exposed to experimental stress.
