Abstract :
Distributed dynamic channel assignment (DDCA) plays an important role in micro-cellular mobile communication network. This paper proposes a new DDCA scheme based on channel priority (PDCA). This new strategy uses cochannel interference and channel reuse frequency to define the channel priority. The strategy improves the performance of forced call termination rate and interference rate, and applies to multimedia traffic. Simulation results show that the proposed PDCA strategy significantly improves the forced call termination rate and interference rate while keeping the blocking rate at an acceptable level.
