Abstract
Linear source - filter model (LSFM) does not take the acoustical interaction between the vocal fold and vocal tract into account. However, according to physical system model simulations, the intensity of the source - filter interaction effects become large when the source fundamental frequency, F0, is increased. In this study, as an alternative to LSFM, we propose an interactive source - filter model and presents its preliminary results. The results show that the interactive system can represent nonlinear source - filter interaction effects successfully.
