Abstract :
In this paper, an iris recognition system based on fast iris localization and phase correlation matching is proposed. Eye images are captured from a CMOS image sensor on infrared (IR) illumination condition using a digital signal processor (DSP) kit. Afterwards, fast iris localization and normalization are performed on DSP, and normalized iris images are sent to the server via ethernet interface and classification is carried out using phase correlation (PC) based matching. Experimental results show that the proposed iris localization and matching method gives high recognition performance on the implemented system.
