Abstract
The paper is devoted to 3-axis positioning of a CNC machine model. This desktop CNC machine is used here as a tool for circuit board holes drilling, designed using the EAGLE software. Connection between the EAGLE software and the CNC machine model is provided by monitoring and visualization application, created in the visualization system Control Web 6. This application receives exported data from the EAGLE software via a DDE communication protocol and using suitable algorithms transfers these data to desirable drilling points coordinates. These coordinates are then sent to a PLC controller which controls the CNC machine via the OPC communication protocol.
