Abstract :
The paper presents a method for monitoring radon concentration in air using a detection chamber as transducer, an embedded system based on ATmega16 microcontroller for measuring the transducer output and a GPRS modem for sending measurement data to a remote center. The measurements were used for testing of new methods for reducing the radon levels in houses using nano-materials.
