Abstract :
A cooperative multicell signal processing (CoMP) has a big potential to become and attractive solution for 4G networks. However CoMP has a number of drawbacks, some of them are discussed in this paper. Additionally to joint transmission concept realized in distributed antenna system environment an implementation of user specific tilt (UST) is concerned. UST is proposed as an alternative to multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) techniques. A concept of UST offering physical separation intercell areas by adapting codebook to form a user specific beam is presented.
