Abstract :
The usefulness of Takagi-Sugeno-Kang inference systems for the study of organizational communication was investigated. Specifically, the relationship between communication satisfaction and commitment in three Australian organizations is examined. The relationships among communication satisfaction´s principal components and organizational commitment are modeled using a TSK system. TSK systems have not been used to model communication systems previously. One objective is to see if more information could be gained about the relationship using fuzzy logic. The current research also investigates the unique aspects of using fuzzy logic to examine variables in the social sciences. TSK inference systems demonstrate the ability to provide fresh perspectives on organizational communication.
