Abstract
Energy saving is very important to modern efficient and ecological industrial production. One of the simplest and most common upgrade of industrial process system efficiency is to improve pneumatic system performance by installing APC controllers. In this paper we describe how added APC controller to pneumatic system reduces pressure deviation and target pressure in compressed air system. System running costs were decreased by 15%. Pneumatic system energy efficiency increased by 7,4%, wear of various components decreased by 5-10%, also system maintenance cost decreased because upgraded system can by monitored and maintained remotely.
