Abstract :
The paper presents Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy control solutions - PI(D) fuzzy controllers with input and output integration and 2-DOF fuzzy controllers - meant for speed and position control of Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) drives. Simplified models of BLDC drives are used in new controller design methodologies. These models are characterized by second-order linear dynamics with/without an integral component and generally with variable parameters and allow. The Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy control solutions are briefly characterized and some approaches regarding the controller designs are highlighted pointing out the simplicity of our solutions. Comparative studies based on digital simulation results are included to exemplify the efficiency of the proposed design methodologies.
