Abstract :
A novel scheme for modulation bandwidth enhancement is presented, involving a DBR master laser monolithically integrated with two cascaded strongly injection-locked whistle-geometry semiconductor microring lasers. Enhanced performance of the novel scheme is confirmed through numerical modeling.
