Abstract
The paper presents the magnetic field modeling for magnetic particle imaging (MPI). The custom static magnetic field solver which enables fast calculation of three dimensional magnetic field distribution was elaborated. The regular square grid is applied in this solver. A setup of coils for MPI was designed. The selection field and the drive fields are generated by three pairs of coils. The magnetic field was calculated using the elaborated custom solver and using the COMSOL commercial FEM software. The comparison of results is presented. The elaborated solver can be used in numerical simulation of spatial encoding methods for magnetic particle imaging.
