Abstract
Three types of models used to represent the object of control in anticancer therapies are presented. The first approach is based on the idea that chemotherapy may be treated as control action with cell-cycle as an object of control. In the second approach population dynamics models are used to describe anticancer treatment in antiangiogenic and combined therapies. The last level on which we consider control problems resulting from anticancer actions is related to gene signaling pathway models. In this case we propose the use of interfering RNA to aid radiotherapy by silencing the negative feedback in p53 protein regulatory module.
